I'm one of those car guys who generally prefers driving slow cars fast than driving obscenely fast cars slow. I'm not crazy into supercars, and I'd take a Mustang GT over a GT500.

The Hellcat though...if I won the lotto today the first thing I would do is have my boss order me one. I want the Hellcat to have my babies. Hairy little 707hp babies.

And I say this as someone who would be more than content with an R/T Scat Pack.

I know a guy that has a GT500 with cutouts (and only cutouts), and I was at the dyno when it put out 691 to the wheels. I actually have a pic of the chart on my phone because it blew my mind. Soooo, yeah.

So, reading that review I learned:

1) The Hellcat redlines at 5750, which seems really low to me.

2) The Hellcat sits on 275's in the back, which seems hilariously narrow to me.

Yupp agreed. If I had to get something with a backseat (and got a pay raise) I would immediately be looking at a Hellcat.

And I'm a person that doesn't car about 0-60 times and that garbage.

Acceleration times don't mean much to me either, I prefer handling. This car ia just so bad ass though. And for once I prefer the Challenger to the Charger. That new interior is awesome, I can't wait to fondle one when we finally get one.

Yeah I know that says 6k but Motor Trend lists the redline on their spec sheet at 5750.

And 305? Hell, if you can fit 335's go for it. This is one car that can use allllll the width. More oomph than a Viper, and Vipers are on 355's (which are ridiculous).

There once was a time when the new 5.0 mustang came out that a guy in one raced my friend in a C5. This particular C5 has a 600hp NA motor and was glorious. This particular Mustang owner was trying to race for a few hundred and was hustlin' hard. Said time and time again it was stock but that he wanted to race, even let us look under his hood for a minute.

Street through 3rd and it was dead even the entire time … I'll trust edmunds on this one.

Maybe it was using a Mustang dyno? I've heard they're a bit more "optimistic" than a Dynojet.

I don't know shit about dynos but there are 3 different sources saying close to the same thing. Seems more likely to me.

And the 2nd two are both Dynojets. I assume the first one was also because of how close they are (and forced induction cars don't vary with atmosphere differences as much). I've heard that Mustang dynos could read up to 10% higher than a dynojet will. Having no experience in dynos myself, I don't stand behind these statements. It's just what I've heard from people that use them.
